![]() Try as we might, we couldn’t get the software to record any audio coming from the Mac itself. It wasn’t the visuals - those were fine, as was the webcam. However, there is a huge caveat: all this is fine on the PC, but we encountered a pretty big problem when trying to do the same on the Mac. You’ll find many audio options, but try as we might, we didn’t manage to capture the sound directly from the computer on a Mac (Image credit: NCH Software) This is all very impressive, especially for software that’s free (or, if your use-case demands, is relatively inexpensive compared to competitors like Camtasia, EaseUS RecExperts, and FlashBack Express). You have the ability to connect other devices and record from there, even through a network, and if you have more than one screen connected to your computer, well, you can choose which one to focus on. ![]() You can control your webcam, choose its resolution, decide to make it full screen, or as an overlay. You’ll find tools to capture the whole screen, narrow that down to a cropped section of said screen, or just select one open window. Still, what it lacks in style, it makes up for in options. It’s not the best introduction to the free screen recording software. It feels extremely dated, as if it came straight out of the 90s, with big square buttons at the top filled with what looks like low-res icons. ![]() So many options can be a little overwhelming for newcomersĪt first glance, Debut’s interface isn’t especially stylish. The interface feels pretty antiquated, but is filled with tools and features (Image credit: NCH Software) ![]() Getting human body models from MakeHuman don't work well for several reasons. ![]() That makes getting models made in other applications a problem, because a number of those use triangles. ![]() It really needs some rudimentary human models & clothing such as Poser or some of the other modelers use & would be useful to people immediately, then.īlender models are oriented toward quad meshes. The 2.5x version is moving to a different paradigm from the 2.49 stable version, but doesn't feel Mac-like in the least. Stable versions didn't play well with up-to-date Illustrator files. They have not finished the import-export options in the 2.56a beta version, so it could be a problem moving to & from solid modelers. For free, this is very good as a surface modeler & it has it own animation built in. ![]() ![]() I loved seeing all of these new cards (well, old cards, but new to me) and what they could do in combination. While most players might have been put off by what happened, I was amazed. On his fourth turn, my new opponent cast Stroke of Genius for X=40 and copied it with Twincast, making me draw eighty cards from my deck. I explained that I only had a Standard deck, but he insisted that would be fine. I’d only been playing the game for a few months at the time and I didn’t even know what Legacy was. They asked me if I’d like to play a game of Legacy. I was sitting on my own at my LGS building a deck for FNM when someone I’d never met before came into the shop and approached me since I was the only person in the room.
